help booting CD ROM ... over and over...and over again

True enough.  But keeping Terrasoft (the makers of Yellowdog Linux) 
in business is (or should be) a priority too.  If you can afford 
to, buy the CDs, even if you can (and do!) download them.  Think of 
it as a contribution to a good cause.
