Go to the Yellow Dog Linux Web site for such information (though I do
not know whether it is absolutely up-to-date):

The Web site says "kdebase 3.1-8d," (I am not at my YDL machine, so I
cannot check whether this is the most current version available).

The included version is OpenOffice.org 1.0.2, which is *NOT*
recommended. Rene Norbert had a pointer to a newer version (1.1.0):

<http://porting.openoffice.org/linuxppc/ppclinks.html>

And I documented my trials in its installation:

tetex and the like are installed -- is that good enough?

<http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/products/software/included/index.php?s_cat_disp=2&app_list=13#2>

Hmmm.... Good luck with *that*. That's not the YDL *I* know. :-)

Good luck!

Best wishes,
Clint
