Problems with ALSA on 2.6 Kernel (Was: Has anyone gotten a 2.6 Kernel to build?)

Hi John,

Sounds like your making progress.

A lot of what your asking goes beyond my current understanding of ALSA,
I'm only just getting to grips myself.

In regards to XMMS, have you tried changing the default devices in the
OSS driver config, I choose the default alternate options of /dev/dsp
/dev/mixer

You did enable OSS API emulation in your ALSA config didn't you as this
I belive provides the above two interfaces for older OSS savy apps.

Regards

Simon
