hi how do i install package on ydl

hi
i realize that after installing ydl   that i have try to install other 
package   like   gaim new version .
and the system tell my that nautilus  cannot do it ????????????

so here the question
1 how do i install  package
2 how  do i manage  to make my  ydl see dvd ?????  to install  mac os x on 
mol
