Airport Extreme detection on PowerBook G4 1.25GHz

I've installed YDL 3.0.1 on my PowerBook G4 1.25GHz. Most things seem 
ok except that the Airport Extreme card is not detected. It has the new 
firmware 3.4.1 from Apple and works fine under OS X 10.3.3. I've tried 
running kudzu by hand ("kudzu -p") but the only NETWORK device detected 
is the internal ethernet card. Does anyone have any suggestions?
