YDL 3.0.1 on eMac 1.25Ghz model

i have a brand new 12" ibook.

3.01 does not work.

tried:

-gui installer, it just immediately fades to black
-text installer, i can get throught installation, but system boots, right after
boot straps, fades to black.

-safe, same as above.
-tried setting to console only, no x. same fade to black.
-tried using the autodetected radeon driver, same fade to black.
-tried using the vesa driver, same fade to black.
-tried both dual boot, and dedicated entire system to ydl, same problem.

that was $35 down the toilet.

on the bright side, os x and i are getting along quite well.

i'm a slack guy anyway, never much of a redhat fan...
