Working around AirPort Extreme

I had good luck with a cisco aironet 340 pcmcia for 10 gbp from ebay
i am not surte if they do a usb version though.

plug it in

su -
kudzu
system-config-network

and thats about it

ifconfig and iwconfig are your friends (or not) if you want to play

be aware that usb is only about 1mb/s, compared the 11mb/s for 802.11b, and 54 for g although the wireless speeds are very theoritical. you'll probably have more luck with b than g.
