Install crashes on post config??

Hi,
Me again. The fix for the powerbook pismo was
a) use good media when burning the cds (I used maxell, imation didn't 
work)
b) write the boot disc at 1x, the others at 4x.
I have a new problem; The installer seems to have hung up on post 
installation. The gauge is halfway, and the spinning timer has stopped. 
I cannot switch terminals. Is this normal? Should I wait? If I 
shouldn't wait, what should I do next?
