I was able to install YDL 4.0 RC3 on a dual G5 Xserve (not G4). The 
installation is a bit tricky, in that
at the beginning the USB keyboard is not recognized, so I had to connect 
a laptop running a terminal
emulator to the serial port. Besides that, the installation went pretty 
smoothly
