Fdisk /dev/hda on an Xserve G4

When I run fdisk /dev/hda on my Xserve G4, it doesn't report any 
partitions.  It reads

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/hda: 123.5 GB, 123522416640 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 239340 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes

   Device Boot    Start       End    Blocks   Id  System

Command (m for help): q

Is this normal because /dev/hda1 is some Mac parition that it wouln't 
let me delete upon install?
