I've got that set up on a Beige G3 Rev B (& I had to use XPostFacto to
get OS X 10.2 to install ;P... on its own, the Jaguar installer disk
failed to itself as startup disk to allow for an install). Although
it's a native G3 it's still "Old World" so I imagine that for the most
part the G3 is the same as your 9600!
You will continue to set OS 9 or OS X as your startup disk, and then,
as you know, XBoot will take over from OS 9 when you want to boot YDL.
