  Check out:
  http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/2/i386/yum/stable/RPMS/
  There is a source rpm there for Fedora Core 2.  I am betting that
  you can take it and the instructions posted earlier for gaim and
  build a ppc rpm to install.  I would start there
