Yellowdog Linux vs. Power Mac G4/G5

Bill, 

I have that model number (dual 7400/450 MHz) running YDL 2.3 (I'm still 
using 2.3 on this box due to gcc issues on legacy projects), and it works 
fine.  I've updated my kernel, use the freshrpms.net yum repository for 
updates, and have GNOME 2.4 (via GARNOME) running (mostly) fine. 

Because of the old gcc (gcc-2.96-113), there's alot of things that won't 
compile properly, though.  Also, I don't think that the freshrpms.net 2.3 
repository is being updated.
