Windows WAY out of scale

Thanks, Chris.

I went to a gnome login, and was mystified. Everything looks fine there,
but trying to start any tools to modify things like fonts, sizes,
whatever, results in nothing. The tools won't even start from the menu.

Short of reinstalling everything, what can I do to fix gnome?
