ydl 3.01, konsole losing plus and asterisk

I'm running YDL 3.01 on a G4 Cube. When I first launch a konsole window,
the plus and asterisk keys work fine. Sometime later, and I can't say
how long, nor have I found any pattern to it, the plus and asterisk keys
stop being recognized. All other keys, including the other punctuation
marks, are fine.

Any ideas?
