I have a Dual 2.7 GHz G5 PowerMac that is dual booting Mac OS X and
Yellow Dog Linux 4.0.91. I am trying to configure the machine to have
two heads. The heads are NEC MultiSync LCD 2010X's and the graphics
card is a dual output ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. Both of these appear to be
supported; however, I am still having issues getting it working. I
first tried to set up the dual head configuration starting with System
Settings -> Display and picking things through there. Next, I tried
basing my /etc/X11/XF86Config file on the one seen here
http://cvs.terraplex.com/~owen/xorg.conf. Finally, I tried to follow
the instructions found here
http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/solutions/ydl_4.0/dual-head.shtml.
The result from all three was the same. The second monitor remained a
blank white screen during all three of these tests. It also remains
white when logging out and booting up. The dual head configuration does
work under Mac OS X and I have tried switching the cables and adapters
just to be safe. Posted below is my /etc/X11/XF86Config file. Any help
anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

# Option "Xleds" "1 2 3"
# To disable the XKEYBOARD extension, uncomment XkbDisable.
# Option "XkbDisable"
# To customise the XKB settings to suit your keyboard, modify the
# lines below (which are the defaults). For example, for a non-U.S.
# keyboard, you will probably want to use:
# Option "XkbModel" "pc102"
# If you have a US Microsoft Natural keyboard, you can use:
# Option "XkbModel" "microsoft"
#
# Then to change the language, change the Layout setting.
# For example, a german layout can be obtained with:
# Option "XkbLayout" "de"
# or:
# Option "XkbLayout" "de"
# Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
#
# If you'd like to switch the positions of your capslock and
# control keys, use:
# Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:swapcaps"
# Or if you just want both to be control, use:
# Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps"
