Ain't technology grand? Gordon Moore was correct. As someone who owns a
dual processor 533MHz G4 PowerMac, I certainly understand development
time, time to market, and timed obsolescence.
Processor design is now more easily tailored towards an intended
application. The Xbox processor series is a case in point.
Found a paper on the WEB entitled "Multicore, dual-core, and the future
of Intel". It is a bit dated, but interesting.
