Ok, I got radeonfb to work using the kernel that shipped with 4.0 (2.6.8-1.ydl.7) and then X, and even DRI. glxgears gives me a solid 750fps and tuxracer is very playable. Sound doesnt work which isnt surprising, I'll probably go pick up USB sound adapter today and give that a shot.
