Hmmm... replacing core packages is something I try to avoid as much as
possible!
- xmms : If there is a bug in the YDL4 supplied package, it should be
reported, fixed, and an update released.
- kernel : There are many PPC-specific things to be careful with... and
this is definitely a bit I don't want to poke around too much. Again, if a
newer kernel brings improvements to YDL users, then Terrasoft should be
doing the update since it requires careful testing, especially wrt not
breaking things for existing users... as we all hate when that happens,
don't we?
