MOL and "sheep" module

Greetings:

I'm trying to get MOL to work on YDL 4.0.1 and am not getting too far. 
The most obvious problem is that the "sheep" module is not getting 
loaded, apparently because it does not exist.

System: Rev. "A" iMac (Bondi Blue), 256 Mb. RAM. YDL 4.0.1 updated via yum.

I have tried re-building the mol rpms as per instructions from Joseph 
Sacco on this list, both with and without the sheep patches. Sheep does 
not get built no matter what I do.

Trying to build from scratch, I was unable to find the  mol-0.9.71 
source, only 0.9.70, and trying to compile that resulted in many errors, 
starting with "entering Linux" and multiple problems with "alloc.h".

Mol has been around for quite a while, as has YDL, and it seems to me 
that there ought to be an "RPM" package that would give me at least 
minimal functionality.

I have seen references to this problem on this list, but no solution 
other than rebuilding the RPM which, as I said, is not working for me.

Other than that, YDL seems to be a good solution for this old iMac, the 
basic Linux install is working quite solidly.

I apologize if this is a FAQ, but I have searched diligently and tried 
everything I can think of to get mol working. I'd appreciate any 
suggestions as to what (probably stupid) thing or things I am doing wrong.
