Linux on eMac :(

I try to install Linux for over 3 weeks. I'm tired and disappointed. I 
tried Mandrake, Gnoppix and Fedora. Now I try Yellow Dog. Again - 
failed. Always the same problem - There's something wrong with X Window 
System.. I really don't know what to do. I followed the Config Support 
on ydl site, but this info isn't too much helpful. I follow the 
instructions but for example Xautoconfig doesn't want to work on my 
eMac.. I tried to change the XF86Config and not too much too: I can run 
setup after installation but after that I get a messages that I can't 
run X.

I tried to post a message to Xorg site but the process is so hard that 
I gave up.
