Kristo,
It appears you will have to find parted first
type
whereis parted
or look for it yourself in all the usual places
(/sbin,/usr/sbin,/bin,/usr/bin).
Then you'll have to give the complete path like this:
/usr/sbin/pdisk /dev/hda5
Once you have it working go read:

online
But do yourself a HUGE favor and go to
<http://linux.oreilly.com/>
Find some books for beginners and buy, borrow, check out from the
library
