modprobe problem

hi..all!!
i'm sorry for asking you a stupid question. i'm really
a newbie.
i have YDL3.0 instlalled on my G3. I have just
compiled kernel 2.6.2. everything seems run well. but
when i try to run modprobe found message like this :
modprobe : QM_MODULES : function not implemented

so, i need your help to solve it.
