As someone who has fought with open JVM's for years on my other OS
(BeOS), I can tell you that you -NEED- Sun's JVM. Even GCJ in GCC4
barely cuts it, and when its YDL moving to GCC4?
OpenOffice2 doesn't support Kaffe. I doubt Eclipse does, or NetBeans.
Or any major Java app, for that matter.
OpenOffice 2.x, which is a wonderful application, will depend on
GCC4's GCJ or Sun Java to run on YDL4. Thats a major app to lose out
on due to a lack of Java.
