[ydl-gen] firefox probs

My installation of firefox 1.7 seems to be corrupted, ie, the fonts are 
all misplaced and general status is just off, it just kinda happened and 
I lived with it till i decided to install a more stable version, or any 
version that is I still get the same firefox, the same fonts same home 
page etc no matter what version that I install. I trash the directory of 
firefox in my home folder then install a version of firefox but like I 
said I still get the same preferences... What file or directory do I 
need to get rid of so I may get a new slate? Like trashing the prefs 
file in osx to get rid of all the preferences, is there such a file as 
that to get rid of.?
