[ydl-gen] YDL v5.0 for PS3 question

Will the vga cable which was provided with the PS2 Linux Kit work on the PS3?  If so, does it work under YDL as well?  I've read that the multi-out cables from the ps2 were compatible, but this wasn't a widely available option.
