Date/Time off by 7 hours with YDL v5.0.2

A Sony-side kernel issue will cause all systems running YDL 5.0.2, July 11th, 
2007 release to display a time 7 hours (or the equivelent difference from 
UTC) different from what is correct. This may cause issues with anything that 
relies on a date/time stamp including: make, svn/cvs code revisioning, 
sorting by date/time etc. Please use caution when using these applications. 
We are working with Sony to resolve this issue.

The temporary solution to this problem is to enable the time to be set by ntp 
on boot, as described below. Once this is corrected, an updated kernel will 
be made available.

To enable ntp (Network Time Protocol) to set the date/time at boot:

   1. Open a terminal windows
   2. Type "su - {ENTER}"
   3. Enter the root password when prompted
   4. Type "nano /etc/rc.local"
   5. Add the following line to the file "ntpdate clock.redhat.com" No Quotes
   6. Close the file by typing Ctrl-x
   7. Click "y" to save the file
   8. Hit {ENTER} to confirm the filename to save as
   9. Type "chkconfig ntpd off {ENTER}"
  10. Type "exit {ENTER}"
  11. Type "exit {ENTER}" again to close the terminal window
  12. Reboot your PS3
