 Ok, I guess that's my cue. The PowerStation is not a Cell machine, it uses 
IBM's PPC970 CPU (what Apple called the 'G5'). It is very unlikely that you 
could get MacOS X to run on it. If you did, it would be a kernel hack and it 
would also violate the EULA for MacOS X, which only allows for the OS to be 
installed on Apple branded hardware.

 The PowerStation is a serious high-performance machine, if you really need 
bang for your buck in the Power architecture, it's definitely something to 
consider.

 As to Warren's concerns with Apple G5 power supplies, I haven't had the same 
experience - my G5 hasn't had any serious issues.

 As Derick mentioned, the GigaAccel 180 is definitely something you might want 
to consider. You can put one in a PowerStation and get the best of both/all 
worlds. The PS3 is a nifty way of getting a low cost testing/prototyping 
machine for Cell programming, but it has serious performance limitations due 
to HD speed, RAM and bandwidth through the hypervisor.
