[ydl-gen] Gnome character map

I've just noticed that Character Map is practically inaccessable within YDL6.
It doesn't appear within the standard menu within e17 and the configuration
options are very unlike what existed in YDL 5.  I did notice that it does
appear as selected within  Applications --> System Tools --> Menu Layout, but
nowhere else.

I can't just drag and drop the icon of Character Map into the ibar of the shelf
I prefer it reside in so that I can access it more quickly.

Anyone have an idea how to get to it?
