Hardware Acceleration

Hi,
  I have a powermac 7300/180 running YDL2.1 and the graphics seem to
be rendering somewhat slowly. I have an ATI Rage 128 PCI card (the OEM
card pulled from a B&W G3; I got it on e-bay) installed on my computer.
While this isn't a super new card or anything, I would think the graphics
would be a little faster. Is there any way to tell whether YDL is actually
using the hardware acceleration available? Thanks.
