<snip>
What seemed to work for me was to boot with gui22-install (or whatever it
was called). If I booted with the default gui-install or with a text based
installer it would give me the same error (plus, it would give me a
different error b/c I didn't have enough disk space).

To be honest, I don't see any difference between 2.1 and 2.2 (then again, I
don't know what I'm looking for... though, it does now work better with my
monitor)
</snip>

I have no idea what/where the gui install (thingy) is, I simply downloaded
the misc. files from a website, all the rpms, etc. I've used the 2.2
ramdisk.image file for bootup, which sorted a nasty video problem I ad on
boot, but still no joy with the CD mount.

<snip>
I had this problem in Toast and amde a few coasters untill i found how to
burn the image properly... from the other tab in Toast 5.1 select disc
image... then drag the .iso file you DL'ed from YDL... burn CD... this
worked for me...and i tried about 5 other ways to make a cd with toast...
they either worked in macos9 or linux but not both.

</snip>

As mentioned above by self, I didn'd download the iso image file, but
instead downloaded the "bits". am currently trying to download the 628 MB
worth of .iso image, so *fingers crossed* hopefully the server won't crap
out before I'm done like it has the last two times! =) When it's done, I'll
try burning the image to disk, and let you know... i've got two coasters so
far! hehe

Thanks for the help guys,,,,
