I have had those both happen in my iMacDV. to get rid of the buzzing in kde open kmix (its in multimedia in the kmen= u)=20 and turn down some of the volumes, i think it is the speaker volume that=20 needs to be pretty low.=20 i am not sure about the sound server not working when launching kde. logi= ng=20 out of kde back to text and then doing startx again usually helps sam
