programs not working

I also have same system  setup 400 AGP w/ 2.3 .  Have had trouble 
getting things to work smoothly.  ie konkorer takes ages to load.  i 
updated qt using apt but it didn't seem to help.  I think i preffered 
2.2 with kde3 and liquid added manually
