mouse stuck at GUI Login

After installing Yellow Dog Linux on a beige 7600,=20
upon seeing the login screen for KDE, my mouse is stuck and won't =
respond. During the Boot X loader the mouse is responsive but then it =
drops out after login. I've searched some of the archives about this but =
I cant find any anwers. Any help would be well appreciated. I'm running =
2.2, I can login with the keyboard and everything works fine but the =
mouse.=20
