very slow KDE launch - and apt-get doesn't fix!

Hmm. Well, I do have KDE 3, and my CD is the 2.3 version of YDL. Is 2.2
more stable? Because I've also had a surprising number of crashes
(applications, not the system): Konquerer, mostly.
