netatalk problems

I've just recently enabled netatalk on my 8500/180.  My 9500/200 running
MacOS 9.1 can see it in the Chooser, but when you select it and press OK the
following message appears:

The User Authentification Method required by this server can't be found.
Please check the AppleShare folder in the Extensions folder and try again.

There is no AppleShare folder in the Extensions folder on the 9500.

What do I need to do to get this to work?

8500/180 96MB RAM/4.3GB HD/AppleCD 300i/YDL 2.3 (Installed Everything)
9500/200 256MB RAM/4.3GB GD/AppleCD 8x/Zip100/USB/ATI Mach64/MacOS 9.1
