Anybody using a DeskWriter C with CUSP and YDL2.3?

I haven't been able to get this puppy to print yet.  I've followed all th=
e=20
instructions and tried some variations, but either the printer does nothi=
ng=20
or it prints some solid bands and quits.  The printer works under Mac OS =
and=20
I can output to it with an: echo "some text" >/dev/ttyS0.

My pertinent printer info is:
=09Location:  /dev/ttyS0
=09Device URI: serial:/dev/ttyS0?baud=3D57600+bits=3D8+parity=3Dnone+flow=
=3Ddtrdts
I checked off the HP stuff when setting it up.  Seems like it should work=
 no=20
problem.

My environment:
=09Mac 7300; RAM 352Meg; Approx 3Gig on external SCSI drive for YDL
and, of course, a DeskWriter C.
