I'm happy you got YDL 3.0 installed.  But only time will tell if you
continue to do the Snoopy  dance.  You have yet to recompile your own
kernel :0  

Recompiling your first kernel is a sure-fire, guaranteed way to get a
lot of gray hair!!!
