You don't need to purchase a new OS. You can download the MacOS binaries off
their web site. For free.

Subject: Workgroup Server 7250/120
I have a WGS 7250/120 with no MacOS installed. It has a 2Gig drive and at
least 24MB RAM. I would like to turn it into a Linux server. I know I need
to have a MacOS installed in order to run YDL. I don't like the idea of
having to purchase another OS in order to run YDL. Is there another option?
