Why use YDL? (reply to Clint)

Clint's comment on just using X11 on OS X is well
taken. I'm thinking about returning YDL since Paste
doesn't even work in its version of OpenOffice. Is
OpenOffice any better on other Linux distributions? I
think OpenOffice already works fine on OS X.

The only reason I might need YDL would be to run Linux
object code (binaries). Do binaries compiled on Red
Hat Linux run on YDL?
