[hangout] CUPS Printer Config

How did you set up the ethernet interface?
It seems to be 127.0.0.1?
I dont think it can be that number as the loopback interface (lo)
uses that. Most people use 192.168.0.1 or somethink like that.
If your printer is hooked up via enthernet then it has an ip address.
there is a computer in the printer with an ethernet card and
that card (just like yours) has an IP address. and thus you should be able
to ping it. to 'ping' anything you type:
ping <some ip>
a ping just tells you if the interface is active. just like an envelope
address, no two interfaces can have the same address.
