I'm trying to install YellowDogLinux on my G4 Apple (gray-white one) on a
partition next to os x.

I followed the manual and everything should work, but just before I start
installing everything (really at the end after choosing what to install) I
get an error message saying:

Partition map has no partition map entry!

        Fix cancel

I already tried 3 times to install Linux yesterday of which the first time
was succesfull but almost lost my os x. So after a lot of work I could find
my os x disk back and made a backup. The other 2 times I installed yellowdog
it installed everything but then showed an error at startup saying:

Can't open device </pci@80000000/pci-bridge@d/pci-ata@1/@0/disk@1:0?
/pci@80000000/pci-bridge@d/pci-ata@1/@0/disk@1:10, \\yaboot.conf: unknown or
corrupt filesystem
can't open config file
welcome to yaboot version 1.3.10

and then the boot: shows up.

Now I installed os x again on a different partition of a maxtor 60 Gb disk.
I have 40 Gb of os x and 20 Gb of YellowDog (planning to).

Is this fixable?
Is the partition map entry error the cause of the startup error?

How can I fix this?!
Plz help!!!

Skee-tone.

Thankz!!! Hope someone can help me out here!!
