Sounds like you need to set-up a compiler toolchain. Package 'gcc' provides
your 'cc'

Some bits you'll want for a general-purpose toolchain, including but not
limited to:

gcc
binutils
automake
autoconf
libtool
bison
byacc
flex
gawk
m4
make

Subject: help, no acceptable "cc"

Hello,

I have been trying to install gimp-print 4.2.5 to upgrade my Epson
printer driver. All went well with the unpacking until I got to the
./configure command.

It hung with the last line saying
configure:error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

Could you tell me what is going wrong?

Thanks,

Richard Kalwaic
