Printing via AirPort to OS X host

I am having trouble configuring remote printing via CUPS to a printer
attached to a host computer running OS X on my home network. YDL seems
unable to find the network printer. It's never been a problem when using
OS X and AirPort on my iBook (which now runs YDL exclusively).

Do I need to go to the trouble of installing CUPS on the OS X host
computer in order to print? I know that OS X allows printing to remote
CUPS printers, but I don't know if it will receive print jobs from
remote Linux clients.
