Hi Jonas:

Lokkit? What is that? I understand the concept of
ports... but only in a very basic way... I understand
that they are numbered...

How do I determine whether it is open or closed?

And how do I go about opening it if it closed?

Is there a special port number for ftp transfers, a
convention that the internet expects us to follow?
(like a default port number)

Thanks,

Dave Purdy
