Keyboard Question - ADB vs USB

Since my attempts to get YDL to work correctly on a G4 using an Apple 
Cinema I've decided to install YDL on a G3, 233mhz machine which when 
it originally shipped did not have either a Firewire port or a USB port.

I installed a 3rd party USB port.

I need to buy a keyboard for this machine and I would rather stick with 
an Apple ADB because these G3's (Beige) do not have a start button but 
rely on the keyboard to boot up.

So the question is "Will YDL work with Apple's ADB keyboards?"
