OT-Rant: Stuck in the Middle with...

Argh!!!

Mac OS X has slowed to nearly a crawl (I turned off journaling, window shadows 
and made font-smoothing kick in only above 16 points), Mac OS 9 is uh-uh-glee 
-- leaving me with PPC-based Linux, the maintenance of which is often akin to 
water-torture.Oh, what I wouldn't give for an insecure, buggy, but productive 
Windows XP machine right now. ;)

(before the replies start flying, this is just a Monday-morning rant.)
