Sorry for the cross post. I've asked before, but no joy on progress.

iBook 800. MacOSX.3.5 partition on /dev/hda9. YDL 3.0.1. mol and
mol-kmods are up to date according to yum. I've made appropriate
changes, I think to the molrc.osx config file, etc. I've searched the
mol archives.

So, here's the deal: When I type startmol -X, the full screen video
kicks in, the tux-loves-the-apple logo and the OSX spinning cogwheel
appear. And that's it. One hour later, no change.

When I get out of this (ctrl-f8) I can command-C and stop mol. Or kill
<pid>. The terminal shows no major kluges, but the mol.1.log shows
"/dev/hda9 this volume is locked".

I've gone into OSX, repaired permissions, etc. The only HFS+ partition
that has an operating system is hda9. The other partitions are system
partitions, etc., but no OS there.

How do I unlock the damn partition? Mount shows no inappropriately
mounted volumes. umount /dev/hda9 says that that volume isn't mounted.

Short of a YDL reinstall (which seems like a stupid thing to do), what
should I try next?

Best,

Roger
