YD on G3 Powerbook + Firebird

I successfully managed to get Yellow Dog 3 on my PowerBook G3 (FireWire)
(Codename: Pismo) no problems ­ running fine. Now I want to place YD on my
older G3 PowerBook (Codename: Kanga). Is YD 3 compatible with this PowerBook
or is their another version of Linux I could use? Finally, really silly
question - is there a version of Firebird for PPC? As I am having problems
running Mozilla with my current PowerBook and YD 3 and Firebird is my
preferred browser under OS X and XP. Any help or advice be greatly
appreciated.
