YDL 4.0 support G5 liquid cooling system?

YDL list,
I have installed YDL 4.0 to our new dual proc. G5 liquid cooling systems, 
and the fans rev up and sound like a jet engine after about 5 minutes.  If 
I use Mac OS X the fans dont rev up.  I read an article in slash dot about 
the linux kernel will support it (liquid cooled system) soon.  Does YDL 
4.0 support or have a patch to fix this problem?  Let me know if anyone 
has any insights on this.  Thanks
